Onos trods in, sprawls out in the middle of the marine base, then explodes. It'd whipe off half of the map.

Then the onos would run into the marine base and when he died he's do like Xeno 10x and wipe out a ton of stuff.
Of course, the huge 200 res + teamwork sacrifice of this would make it great for stalemates.

*When you forumgoers saw changelogs for letter-beta-builds of NS1.1 and 2.0 betas, you probably didn't think about how much work goes into it. On some nights where we got enough people testing, we'd be <i>constantly</i> popping back and forth from IRC to in-game to try out server-side changes Flayra could make in as little as five minutes; some of these lasted into the next "letter" beta build, but others have been lost from our memories. When you get Flayra on a roll he's a coding machine. Sessions like this could last anywhere from 7PM EST or earlier all the way to 2AM because as people went to sleep, others from other timezones joined in.

I always thought it'd be bad **** to have aquatic aliens.
Give marines diving suits and harpoons, make a lot of water maps, and make sharks with laserbeams on their heads.
I'd also like to see the ability to vote-to-kick/ban people from servers. Nothing pisses me off more than the jack **** who jumps in a comm chair, builds a million chairs, gives himself a shotgun, then runs off.

Onos with a BFG in a coupla on its back. Marines could ride on it and one would have a power whip to stear.
Swoop in and you make the marines lose a Heavy Armor.
Then you'd get a HA shaped lerk.

This would turn it into a flying hover-tank. You'd be in 1st person view (of course) and you'd have a few weapons to choose from. To allow easier implimentation, you could just use the same weapons already available to the marines. So, the weapons would be: Quad LMGs (2 on each side), Dual HMGs (1 on each side), Dual Shotguns (1 on each side), Dual GLs (2 on top), Quad Welders that also heal health for marines (4 on bottom), and 6 mechanical arms each holding knives ("The mincer," as I like to call it). It would have the normal armor of the CC, and can be healed by welding it or by going next to an electro'd RT or TF and "recharging your battery" (pretty spiffy, eh?). You can also build things at 3 times speed (because the CC has a special link to the nanites that speeds up the normal process of building).
As mentioned, it was a flying hover-tank type CC now, so it could go places fairly quickly and with mashing on the jump button you'll take her into turbo. When a CC is in Combat Mode, it is not counted as a commander so you could see several ones in a battle possibly. Obviously, if there is a commander already and someone in Combat Mode wants to go back to Commander Mode, they can't. If they want to go back to marine then they'll have to type /kill in the console. You may think that harsh, but I believe at the 30 rez cost for a CC that it will be balanced quite well. Yes, that's right: 30 whopping rez. It's not like dropping a shotgun, people, so don't worry about it getting spammed. However, to counter-act the high rez cost, it also acts as a Infantry Portal if no IPs currently exist.
