Wow. I'd get that if I could afford it. Only one question: does it work?

Now I think about it... what would I do with it? Hang it on the wall? (yeah, probably...)

Neat collectible, but three reasons not to blow yer money on it:

1. It isn't the prettiest thing in the world.
2. Uh, it's expensive.
3. There are Star Wars replicas that are seven times as asthetic. (read lightsabers)

But this is bigger than a lightsaber! And it's not like these are in major circulation (though if they do start selling them in the supermarket, I'd still get one).

And you could paint it or something (though I'm not sure about that... I'd have to see it close up to decide).

On the other hand... I can't afford it, really. Well... what I mean is I dont have enough money just to buy it offhand. But I would if I could!

Mmmmmm....nothing like a weapon that can take out a few stars, eh?

How useful would a lightsaber be if the star system you're in suddenly decides to go nova?

But they certainly are elegant, I'll give you that.

screw that stupid replica. i know how u could MAKE a REAl WORKING pulse rifle. buy a Thompson smg, and attatch it to a winchester shotgun! thats how the pulse rifle's were made for the movies.

I think eBay would be a bit suspicious if somebody said that they had a working pulse rifle for sale. Wouldn't the military buy it first (I mean, if I was a soldier, I'd want to be carrying one of those around with me. And I'd get hold of a flamerthrower too and...).

Lightsabers? Pah. Give me the pulse rifle!

u mean games, the movie isnt out yet . i read some of a potential script ofr the AvP movie, but i got bored reading it and skipped to the end (it was just plot and no dialogue, very early). there is NO desert eagle in the pulse-rifle, they added stuff around the thompson and the winchester. really, u can see where the thompson clip would hit the back of the winchester grip (they probably modified the grip to make it fit, or just took out the grip and left the trigger or something ). one of the movie sites linked at www.planetavp.com told me that, i think.

Well, the title gives a lot away - the triology describes the forming of the new academy on Dagobah and the fight with the old Sith lord who still haunts the planet.
Subplots are the Starhammer, a TIE-Fighter sized ship that can turn ordinary stars into novae and Hans 'visit' in a glittermine.

Also, there is a scene in which the blade of Lukes lightsaber is actually destroyed.

... Damn, I'm a geek.

The academy's on Yavin 4, and the ship is called the Sun Crusher. but otherwise, yeah.

I read that one but i don't remember Lukes light saber getting busted, and he probably thought Dagobah because there is a planet starting with d in there, they sent a whole bunch of ppl to Dontoine.
• Nemesis_ZeroNemesis_Zero Old European Join Date: 2002-01-25 Member: 75Members, Retired Developer, NS1 Playtester, Constellation
Yea, you're right about Yavin - Dagobah was the planet they sent the endangered colony of one of the cadettes to.

The Star Crusher is called 'Sternenhammer' in my translation, which just shows once more that it sucks to be German.

Oh, and the saber gets busted in one of the tests Luke has to pass to persuade a possible jedi cadette - it happens just before he walks over lava.

• Nemesis_ZeroNemesis_Zero Old European Join Date: 2002-01-25 Member: 75Members, Retired Developer, NS1 Playtester, Constellation
Well, in short, a kind of 'lavaworm' appears and attacks Luke, who tries to beat it with his saber - the blade is destroyed in the fight.
So much for 'indestructable'.
