Fade Metabolize

    I never healed teammates with metabolize or gor healed by it.

    It is actually incredibly useful. If you see a marine or two blink in and attack them. If you can't kill them blink out, metabolize and try again <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    it's speedy enough for me... btw, is there a server option to disable metabolize? I was playing on a server last night and whenever I went fade, I couldn't use it... and no, it wasn't the "redded out weapon" bug because I know when a weapon or ability is redded out it still works; you just can't see it working. on this server, weapon 3 was not redded out, it was nonexistent... I'd hit 3 and my weapon would stay whatever it was before (melee, blink, whatever).

    Not really, take for example the little vent opening outside the marine spawn on ns_origin. I hid in there as a Fade with SOF, blinking down and attacking marines as they came along in singles and pairs. I managed to take down numerous LMGers, a HMG and a GL all because metabolize allowed me to be ready in seconds for the next wave. The nearest hive would take me a while to get to; and in NS, time is everything.

    Metabolize is extremely useful in hit-and-run attacks when you are nowhere near any "healing station" (gorge, hive, dc´s).

    That was an old bug with the original 2.0 server software, also Stomp and Devour were screwed, this was patched however, iirc.

    Actually, it's a bug in either adminmod or metamod (I forget which). The server needs to upgrade to the latest version, and the messed-up weapons will work fine.

    yeah, it just requires the admin to update to the newest version of metamod. The tell-tale was always metabolize, because the onos abilities sometimes worked even in the old metamod, depending on server type I believe. Just ask the server admin to update metamod.
