Ever heared about defense chambers?
It is actually incredibly useful. If you see a marine or two blink in and attack them. If you can't kill them blink out, metabolize and try again <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Not really, take for example the little vent opening outside the marine spawn on ns_origin. I hid in there as a Fade with SOF, blinking down and attacking marines as they came along in singles and pairs. I managed to take down numerous LMGers, a HMG and a GL all because metabolize allowed me to be ready in seconds for the next wave. The nearest hive would take me a while to get to; and in NS, time is everything.
That was an old bug with the original 2.0 server software, also Stomp and Devour were screwed, this was patched however, iirc.
