What's The Distress Beacon Do?

<div class="IPBDescription">And other Observatory Upgrades...</div> What's the Distress Beacon do? Why can I research phasetech twice (Or more...)? I used both during the game and it didn't accomplish much.

Distress beacon respawns all marines immediatly.

The phase research is (possibly) there so you can research them on different observatories, in case it disappears when the obs is destroyed or it is a bug.

i wish there was another ability like "Immediate Support Request" or something of that nature where you can teleport ALL rines, dead or alive.

useful for that untimely onos charge.

Researching phase tech multiple times is a bug. Just do it once.

the only problem abot distress is that if you relocate then the mariens spawn back at the "original Start" which could be infested with ocs and such causing a cmplete massacre and not helping out your base either
