<div class="IPBDescription">omg i am sick of this</div> i just came froma game where the comm droped at my last count 72 turrets (i left before it was over.)
they had a 1 hive lock down and turret farmed until they had 2 hives, the aleins with a gorge onos bile bomb run were nto able to dent thease farms due to the consentrated fire of all teh turrets, if you get more then 12 turrets together it is nearly imposible to stop.
im geting real tired of teh farming, this is NS not farming 101

Iv had to deal with it before. Usally when this happens and 30 minutes of aliens trying everything I do what everyone should do. Just quit find another server or just f4. I really hate sitting there for hours on end just to find out all my work is pointless. <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Nah, the first one is okay, it's sortof a tough area to TF, the comm thought to put turrets on the walkway, which was bright. It would be made pretty-much complete with turrets in that lower hallway connected to the upper walkway, but that might make the ones up top redundant.
That last one is quite well-done, though. I particularly like that doozy above the vent.
The whole team goes gorge (costs only 10) and proceed to blitz the marine bases. If you got 8 thats more than 1000 damage per volley. That is enough to wipe out a huge area of turrets before you're all instagibbed. Then do it again.
edit, and we didnt let them afford all those turrets. right form the start they got a tf in atmos and engine, and they just did nothing but build turrets for the first 30 mins, no upgrades or anything, just turret spam <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
*EDIT* u try getting your whole team to go gorge on a pub, it isnt easy.
the server is a great one (one of the most powerful if not the most powerful) P4 2.4 ghz, 512 DDR with a kick 'butt' connection
Well unfortunately this is the internet my friend and I think that you will find the word omg is in rather common usage, and although I like to convey emotion by shouting at my cable modem, im however limited restricted by the format of these forums, feel free to challange my clan to a match, and im sure I will be able to prove I am ore than adequate of taking even the worst farm o' turrets that your are able to conjure. You have to understand however, that there have now been 2 people from that same one round who have posted here in sheer frustration and amazment at what happened. Do not forget that in the two areas in which the turrets were set up, 6 marines were all standing around with welders. and just how do you take out 1 of the 74 turrets using your acid rockets whithout getting hit my the other 76? take a look at the pictures, every possible corner was covered. And I wasnt as if we were just running around as skulks with 100 res bumping into walls, we at one point had about 5 fades and 2 Onos, and we did manage to take down about 20 turrets but the other 54 were still pretty effective. (note we only had two hives, so it wasnt as if we had acid rockets but decided trying to spit spray them would be better)
The worst problem of all was the lag (every one had 400-500 ping). As a gorge I was bile bombing engine room, and I popped my head around the corner for about half a second, and got massacered by the turrets. Im sure that with your brillliant (non omg!!!! saying), world class natural selection tallent you would have of course just thrown a few bile bombs in and nipped off for a victory cigar. But hey, were not all as taleted as you. Personally I just want to see an important issue adrressed, which has caused problems, and in the case of this round was exploited to give the marines a win which they did not deserve.
*EDIT* I dont know when thoses pics were taken, but at one point there were around twice the number of turrets in engine and atmos

The reason why I'm not giving any sympathy here is because I've managed to spur my team numerous times to beat turret farms. Perhaps that is because I play on my clan server and people listen to clan members more than they do regulars.

Marines team gets 21 res from one grenade...yeah, bile bomb and umbra really save the day when it comes to turreNt farms.

After that, turrets don't seem to be aproblem. Lock down the areas you feel as a commander need to be locked down. If your smart as the aliens, that means working harder to get gorges to use the bilebomb.
GL is a great counter to this, but seriously if your hopes are riding on one gorge to blow up an entire turret farm, your dreaming, your goign to need more team dedication to solve that problem so get more gorge, get a distraction, work together and take out the farm, its not that hard.
