That have been willing to take advice
Just as the title says. Also it would help if you gave an estimation on the number of newbies willing to take advice and improve : the number of newbies who ignore whatever you say.
usually hinting someone might be new(a newbie) while helping / pointing out / giving orders to a particular player, will get you in return being called a newbie. Because of course if you thought they were a newbie, you must not know much about the game or the right way to do things. duh!
and calling me a noob when I dropped HA instead of JP...
And people who keep telling me to dropp guns (and I they don't tell me *what* guns they want) even though I tell them I'm upgrading to AA and saving for HMGs for them... :/
hey i personelly like jps, won many a games with those bad boys... thought 'if' you can actually get a group of guys to stay together and weld each other(oh my) then ha > all..
I don't mind the newbs that wanna learn, but when the newb joins the game and jumps in the comm chair and doesnt' drop anything, and we get the first rush and theres still nothign down...
or when they dont help build, and all run off.. so its you here with portals armory etc to build, and then the skulk rush..
Most of the people I've been playing with are foreigner near me (Belgium, Germany, France) and understand nothing of my English, so there's no advice to accept.

I had one great experience with a newbie comm. I basically talked him through the entire comming procedure, where to drop stuff, where to upgrade, basically me comming by proxy. He admitted he didn't know much of what he was doing, but he listened to what our team was telling him and it worked great.

Newbies listening to advice? Quite a lot, actually.
Despite common belief, there are many ok players out there that hasn't been converted to NS yet. I expect more of them to come running.
I have helped lots of newbies When 2.0 came out, I didn't even know how everything worked and I still helped ppl get an understanding of how things work!
I have met alot of the other type though. The ones who cry at you to give them things when you have 0 res and they claim your losing the game for the team! *wish I had admin powers so I could shoot him with a phaser!*

doug
Newbs willing to take advice: 5%
N00bs who'd rather run around and act like it's CS feeling like they don't need to work together: 95%
Okay, so it's not that extreme, but the vast majority of n00bs are arrogant and already feel they're "elite" because of their CS skills.

i'd say 75-80% bad newb and 25-20% good noob..

Made them understand the alien side of ns.
Very rare to encounter newbies who want to learn instead of frag counting cs'ers
