[mreq] Ha And La With Smartgun Anims

Mr_ShoeMr_Shoe Join Date: 2003-08-10 Member: 19352Members
<div class="IPBDescription">I can't find them</div> I was wondering if anyone had the default HA and LA with smartgun animations (but with the original welder animations). I can't seem to find them anywhere, and anything that seems close to being them is a broken link.

Thanks in advance.

    The heavy marine I tweaked is on <a href='http://members.aol.com/handhyle/heavy.htm' target='_blank'>this</a> page. I'm not sure if it's completely 2.0 compatible, but I see no reason why it wouldn't be. If you want to try it just remember to back up your current model (which is something you should always do anyway).

    I'm not sure whare you'd find a TSA marine with smartgun anims, but by following
    <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=27213' target='_blank'>this</a> tutorial (look at how it's done for the welder - that's the best method) you can rip the hmg anims from another smartgun-enabled soldier.mdl and recompile the default marine to use them - it may look a little complicated, but it's actually very simple.

    Also, if you find you have problems with the heavy marine, use the same technique to take the hmg animations from my model and recompile the 2.0 default to use them.

    And just to make it that little bit easier: the hmg animations are:<!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->crouch_hmg_look_blend1.smd
    crouch_hmg_look_blend2.smd
    crouch_hmg_fire_blend1.smd
    crouch_hmg_fire_blend2.smd
    hmg_look_blend1.smd
    hmg_look_blend2.smd
    hmg_fire_blend1.smd
    hmg_fire_blend2.smd<!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    Probably because the TSA HA model is the only model that uses that skeleton - every other marine has used the light marine's skeleton. Which is why I had to go to the trouble of reanimating the heavy in the first place.
