Funny Key-binding Problem

We were playing a LAN game at my office last week. We play about once a week, and since NS 2.0 was out, we decided to give it a shot. There are a few of us that played pretty religiously during 1.04 until we got tired of it. Anyways, I thought I would give a shot at commanding. I had done it a few times in the old versions, but the interface drove me away. After reinstalling, and setting everything up, we all got in and started playing.
We were doing pretty well. We had a base set up, and one hive was locked down. We were in the midst of setting up a res node while repelling attacks on the main base, when I noticed that my Obs, hidden way at the back of the base, was gone. 5 minutes later, my armory was gone. Now, any aliens attacking these things have to get past quite a few turrets, and any stray marines hanging out defending. I asked the guys defending to please pay more attention to aliens getting through the defenses. They said, "Uh, OK". So I built another OBS and another armory, and during the rest of the rest of the game, my obs probably disappeared on me at least 3 MORE times. I couldn't figure it out.
And then it dawned on me.
New commander interface uses qwerasdfzxcv, and I had voice-com bound to the 'v' key, or...the RECYCLE key. Anytime I was talking with a building selected (the obs a lot), I was recycling it, and not even realizing it. AUGHGHGH!
