I do whatever the hell the situation calls for. If the comm wants me to defend something, that's fine. I can do that. If he wants me to lead a squad of complete idiots that don't know how to use the 'C' map into battle, I can do that, too. I'll take initiative when other people are busy, such as securing a hive while everyone else is creating a big distraction at double node or something. I'll do solo missions. I'll do anything! The only thing I won't do is clean the HA's boots. No way in hell.
Strengths: Excellent aim, very perceptive and aware, follows orders, knows how to do just about any task a comm can throw out.

strengths: good at tricking lerks, gorges and other support creatures into a bad position....I'm a pretty sneaky mofo' when I wanna be
decent shot, esp with the pistol, because of the better accuracy I suppose....sometimes I won't score a kill with an entire lmg clip......pull out my pistol....then pop 2 skulks easy

weaknesses: to be honest, probably cele skulks......I can't track them fast enough especially when using a lmg/hmg and its even worse if I hit a lag spike and you get the 'slideshow' moving skulks for a few seconds.....I might as well be trying to hit a match from 300feet away when that happens lol

I'm the @hole who's always trying to keep the team together and do the comms job for him. I prefer to be on the ground so I can execute skulks at will and not have to deal with medpack/ammo requests. I like doing this because I think few people try to help the commander in carrying out orders -- I give my suggestions at will but ultimately follow the commanders orders -- and I try to do that as well as make my teammates follow these orders. At least until my command skills are up to par.
It's a dirty jorb but somebody has got to do it.

Favored Targets: ill go after anything, which target i favor depends on which one our team needs killed most
Strengths: I almost always know what needs doing, and I know how to get it done. If there's a good commander in the chair, I'm the one who tries to enforce his orders, direct the marines in executing them efficiently and correctly, and make the commander aware of any information or strategical possibilities he may have missed. If there's a bad commander, I try to take up leadership myself, making a plan, and then doing my best to get both the marines and the commander to understand, and then execute it. I'm also very, very accurate with the shotgun. If any alien is within range and sight, I will connect fully with nearly every shot, firing as fast as the weapon is capable of.
Weaknesses: I have terrible, laughable, newbie-rific aim with the LMG and HMG, and am not very good with the GL either (apart from GLSpam, anyone can do that). My aiming style is to do very small sweeps of the crosshairs over the target back and forth or up and down rather than trying to keep the target in the sights all the time, so with a weapon like the shotty i simply click when the target's lined up and then quickly do another sweep+click, but with a continuous-fire weapon 2/3 of the bullets will end up missing, except on big or slow targets. I also am used to jumping around a lot when i fight, so I feel uncomfortable with the slowdown, and uncomfortable with not jumping at all also. Besides that, I can come off as bossy, and I **** a lot of people off.
Heavy Support/Heavy Assault Loadout: Level 1-3 Grenade Launcher or Shotgun/HMG, Level 1-3 HA, Welder Favorite Targets: Anything and Everything
Strengths: One-of-a-kind-Kharraa-killing-machine. I usually protect the rear of the HA train, but if I have to, I'll lead the charge. Give me anything and I'll do some damage.

Loadout: Prefer to use best weapon availiable at the time. Im not afraid to rambo an onos with a LMG. Late in game I prefer the gl and pistol to support and take out oc's (welder is not an option for gl carrier, you minds well suicide.)
Strengths: Aim, reaction time, and hearing. I hear those little skulk **** a mile away.
Weaknesses: Worst possible connection (31k) . Short temper for idiot coms/ frontiersmen.

What I like to do is two-fold: 1. Rush with groups to take res/hives and get it built up. 2. Once we have some established bases, either phase or run to them to make sure they aren't getting sniped. Seems everyone forgets to do this, and while they are engaged in semi-random rushes a lone lerk or gorge is sniping a base somewhere.
Role: Field Sargeant - Leading from the front. Comm tells us what he wants, where, when and why. I tell you <b>how</b>.
Optimal loadout: Heavy Armor, HMG. The head of the train. I weld when necessary. Optimal targets: At level 3, everything is dust. The Onos get merely repelled/redeemed.
Strengths: Cool under fire. No fear. Reticule as steady as the seasons. Clarity and conviction in my voice com. Everyone links in with my style on a subconcious level, and we get the mission done and then some. I can mold squads of human fury and destruction from a pack of nubcakces.
Weaknesses: Contradicting commanders. I hate it. I want to stop going against the grain, but public commanders can be so frickin brain-less. During a mutiny, I'm the first one into the chair, as voted by the rest of the team. But sometimes the wet work has to be done yourself, or it'll never get done properly.
I'm the guy that runs around and can hide for an entire game just sitting there without ever making a sound. I'm the guy that can give all the info on the other team. I got the mic always ready to inform the players that "Onos incoming main base" "Sewer Hive in construction" things like that. You may think its not really a useful position but it helps the comm so much into making descisions as to where to place turrets or where to send his troops.
Equipment: LMG/Shottie, Jetpack, pistol, knife
Pro: Brings much useful info to the entire team. Can aim rather well. I'm not the kind of marine that shoots an ennemy building without my comm's orders.
Cons: I dont look for action much so you could say my team is one LMG guy down.
Optimal Loadout: Jetpack, obviously. Either LMG or Shotgun, and a pistol.
Strengths: High speed, can go just about anywhere, and confident. Often flanked by HAs, and takes down Onii in large chambers with relative ease. Obeys orders.
Weaknesses: most of the time over-confident, and ends up dead one too many times.

Basically i do what comm says, when he says.
Example Defending bases, rescuing assault parties that get walled into locations (Yes this is possible and viable) Telling nubs what to do
I like to carry my own welder just to give it to someone to weld me.. and then they give it back.. that way im not always saying i need welding at xxx
Im best with shottie... but any gun will do.... im excellent at the grenade trajectory, can usually get moving skulks, but dont put ur life on it....
I have a passion for grenading lerks (or just killing them in general)... no matter where they are
I also will help a nub comm rather than swear at him... im always the one goin we already lost.. let the comm finish up dont eject him...

In late games I go comm for HA support and building, or do the frontman/builder with a shotty. Or get me a jp and I will rush Onoses and blink-Fades to death!
I like to sneak around the enemie, if I can then I like to go with what I got to take them on
when I have HA I perfer a GL cause even if you managed to have a grenade or 2 fly under your feet you'll take almost no damage
Im not the kind who likes welders since I love my pistol for back up, I like setting mines all over the place but since 2.0 mines have been forgotten about
I never play commander, 1 I lag, 2 I suck
I like to follow orders, I dont advise much, Im more of a follower
but worst of all, Im not so good at head on combat <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> so I make a good resource to sit behind the lines building and guarding stuff, and if possible sneak around the enemie using jps or boosts into vents

Favored Targets: just skulks and Gorgs unless i'm sure i've got the ammo to take out higher. experienced lerks are often to fast to shoot down.
Strengths: i follow my orders and try to do maintenance with the welder when i can. i'm also very good at setting up mines where skulks won't see them and i'm a good throw with the GL. i also get outta the way when reloading so i last a while longer.
Weaknesses: i'm a slow aim, and tend to spend too long walking, listening for skulk steps for most coms liking. also hate the jetpack with a passion and a com drops one on me and tells me to take out a wall-o'-lame with a LMG.
Strengths: I basically am the person who builds things or guards a place. When a comm drops a turret and skulks are attacking, I let everyone take care of the skulks and I build the turret, since it can help alot when I'm done. Also, when there are lots of people building a structure, or humping the armory, I stay crouched, aiming for the entrance of the location.
Weakness: My internet connection. My pings are like, 200. I'm also not good at aiming. The only way I can take out a Kharaa is if I'm VERY close to it, like, staring in the eyes. So I prefer closed quarter combats, like vents and narrow corridors.
Runaway Chaser (Applies to maps like Ns_siege005returns and Ns_siege007.)
Preferred Loadout: Jp, Hmg, Pistol
Preferred Targets: Skulk, Fades, Oni
Role: If we relocated to bunker or the Undefendable Door Room, then I'm usually the one who chases the blinking fades back to marine start / Jp room that want to kill our rts. I usually take them out pretty easily. Onos and Skulks are even easier to kill than fades. Lerks give me trouble because they fly and they can hit you back.
Strengths: Protect all rts at all times
Weaknesses: If a comm drops an HA on me, he just wasted 20 res ... I always type kill when I'm in an HA ... unless I need to assault the hives.

Optimal targets: At level 3, everything is dust. The Onos get merely repelled/redeemed.
Strengths: Cool under fire. No fear. Reticule as steady as the seasons. Clarity and conviction in my voice com. Everyone links in with my style on a subconcious level, and we get the mission done and then some. I can mold squads of human fury and destruction from a pack of nubcakces.
Weaknesses: Contradicting commanders. I hate it. I want to stop going against the grain, but public commanders can be so frickin brain-less. During a mutiny, I'm the first one into the chair, as voted by the rest of the team. But sometimes the wet work has to be done yourself, or it'll never get done properly.
I'm the guy that runs around and can hide for an entire game just sitting there without ever making a sound. I'm the guy that can give all the info on the other team. I got the mic always ready to inform the players that "Onos incoming main base" "Sewer Hive in construction" things like that. You may think its not really a useful position but it helps the comm so much into making descisions as to where to place turrets or where to send his troops.
Equipment: LMG/Shottie, Jetpack, pistol, knife
Pro: Brings much useful info to the entire team. Can aim rather well. I'm not the kind of marine that shoots an ennemy building without my comm's orders.
Cons: I dont look for action much so you could say my team is one LMG guy down.
Optimal Loadout: Jetpack, obviously. Either LMG or Shotgun, and a pistol.
Strengths: High speed, can go just about anywhere, and confident. Often flanked by HAs, and takes down Onii in large chambers with relative ease. Obeys orders.
Weaknesses: most of the time over-confident, and ends up dead one too many times.
Basically i do what comm says, when he says.
Example Defending bases, rescuing assault parties that get walled into locations (Yes this is possible and viable) Telling nubs what to do
I like to carry my own welder just to give it to someone to weld me.. and then they give it back.. that way im not always saying i need welding at xxx
Im best with shottie... but any gun will do.... im excellent at the grenade trajectory, can usually get moving skulks, but dont put ur life on it....
I have a passion for grenading lerks (or just killing them in general)... no matter where they are
I also will help a nub comm rather than swear at him... im always the one goin we already lost.. let the comm finish up dont eject him...

In late games I go comm for HA support and building, or do the frontman/builder with a shotty. Or get me a jp and I will rush Onoses and blink-Fades to death!
when I have HA I perfer a GL cause even if you managed to have a grenade or 2 fly under your feet you'll take almost no damage
Im not the kind who likes welders since I love my pistol for back up, I like setting mines all over the place but since 2.0 mines have been forgotten about
I never play commander, 1 I lag, 2 I suck
I like to follow orders, I dont advise much, Im more of a follower

so I make a good resource to sit behind the lines building and guarding stuff, and if possible sneak around the enemie using jps or boosts into vents

Ideal Load-out: GL, Welder, lotta mines, maybe HA
Favored Targets: just skulks and Gorgs unless i'm sure i've got the ammo to take out higher. experienced lerks are often to fast to shoot down.
Strengths: i follow my orders and try to do maintenance with the welder when i can. i'm also very good at setting up mines where skulks won't see them and i'm a good throw with the GL. i also get outta the way when reloading so i last a while longer.
Weaknesses: i'm a slow aim, and tend to spend too long walking, listening for skulk steps for most coms liking. also hate the jetpack with a passion and a com drops one on me and tells me to take out a wall-o'-lame with a LMG.
Ideal loadout: LMG, Welder or Pistol
Strengths: I basically am the person who builds things or guards a place. When a comm drops a turret and skulks are attacking, I let everyone take care of the skulks and I build the turret, since it can help alot when I'm done. Also, when there are lots of people building a structure, or humping the armory, I stay crouched, aiming for the entrance of the location.
Weakness: My internet connection. My pings are like, 200. I'm also not good at aiming. The only way I can take out a Kharaa is if I'm VERY close to it, like, staring in the eyes. So I prefer closed quarter combats, like vents and narrow corridors.
Preferred Loadout: Jp, Hmg, Pistol
Preferred Targets: Skulk, Fades, Oni
Role: If we relocated to bunker or the Undefendable Door Room, then I'm usually the one who chases the blinking fades back to marine start / Jp room that want to kill our rts. I usually take them out pretty easily. Onos and Skulks are even easier to kill than fades. Lerks give me trouble because they fly and they can hit you back.
Strengths: Protect all rts at all times
Weaknesses: If a comm drops an HA on me, he just wasted 20 res ... I always type kill when I'm in an HA ... unless I need to assault the hives.
Now *that's* a smart marine.
Ideal Loadout: Lvl3 Armour and Guns, HA, HMG, MT. The lot.

I also usually go at the very front when a group of us heavies are making an attack.
