so i am trying to make a cylinder with the join aliens texture a hologrpah and obviously all the black around it invisible so just the join aliens is sitting there...i did this once and i cant seem to get it to work...First note is that i am not using zoners tools to compile (prolly a bad move...)...

i have the rendermode = texture
renderFX = hologram
fx amount = 255

anything im missing?

Oh btw i got worldcraft 3 and Valve Hammer 3.4

    It's rendermode Additive, not Texture.

    do you want it like the holo gram wamn from teh half life hazard course or like the signs are in the regular maps.
    render mode additive will make black invisable in textures appiled to it. teh other part will render at a visibility from 0 to 255

    ok screw it...i deleted it and started over with zoners installed and with hammer...

    but now the DAMN THING DOESNT EVEN COMPILE...and all i have is a box with a light and a spawn point!!!!!!!

    Are you getting an error, or is it just that you haven't set up Hammer's compile options?

    You might want to try Batch Compiler instead of Hammer, if that is what you're using.

    no i set up the compiling in hammer like always...i have done it 100000000 times...cept instead of pointing to its own compilers (qrad qbsp etc etc) i pointed to zoners...(i hope thats right and i know what im talking about...<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->)
