<div class="IPBDescription">(Link to S&I)</div> I suggested this in the S&I forum... It would be really good if somebody could implement it:

(Nice one DrunkenMonkey, you get a cookie for that <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> )
New textures are fun.
It only has a snow texture, and a blend texture from snow to a new rock texture (quite a nice rock texture though).

The "v_ice"-texture looks like ice to me. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Oversaw that <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
No, what I was expecting were some NS.WAD textures with ice on them. So the ice is not only on the outside but inside a station. A whole station covered in v_ice might make your eyes bleed. Although sometimes I'd really like to see some of the good maps in white textures. To see how much of it's quality comes from proper texture selection and how light is spread.
EDIT: no, i wont replace the ns.wad with white textures only to see it. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
In most cases you could use the NS.wad but make an ice effect using func_walls around the map architecture.
Oh, and there's a very nice pack of snow/ice textures over at Crinity's site on PlanetHalfLife. It's got at least one ice texture, along with multiple snow and snowy-rock textures:
<a href='http://www.planethalflife.com/crinity/textreal.htm#desnow' target='_blank'>http://www.planethalflife.com/crinity/text...real.htm#desnow</a>
If you want ice-like NS textures, you could always open up the textures in something supporting layers (like Photoshop), and add the ice texture from that WAD over the top of it as a partially-transparent layer. Not sure how that'd turn out, but it'd be interesting to try.
Good luck to anyone who tries this map.

I gave it a quick try, didn't turn out half bad. for this, I used two layers on top of the original wall with two different textures from Crinity's pack (snow_cliff and snow_cliff2). Low opacities (15% and 30% respectively).
It's a great idea, whoever makes it. Some nice frozen textures will definitely help.
