<div class="IPBDescription">put them everywhere!!</div> I just finished playing a 2 hour game, which we, aliens, lost. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

However, I found that it is extremelly usefull to put sensory chambers everywhere. I put one next to the marines starting point, and waited, and parasited anyone who passes by. Of course, once the comm finds this out, you will soon be discovered.

Thoughts anyone?

    Put them where you need them first. Then put one closer to home in case you lose that one (so you don't have to fall back far). Putting them everywhere isn't making good use of res you could be spending more effectively. When you have 8-10 res towers, of course do whatever you like.

    Place them wisely, don't spam them about.

    Remember, each one costs res, and if you throw them down in silly places where marines will find and shoot them, or if you place them BLOCKING vents and paths, then you are wasting res for each one. Not only that, you are costing the TEAM by blocking off important routes.

    yup, but if you are good to build, placeing a sens in vent near a passage is one of the most useful thing, Can't be shot, and hides the whole passage the other side.

    place sensories near hive enterance and important res points like double res and ones close to ur hive so that when marine attack a alien is cloaked when he attack them given him a great advantage over the n00bish marines who walked past the RT and missed the SC

    A smart gorge will place his chambers in excellent places.

    cargo hive, place sensory on the highest point of the sloped metal bar, there is an exact slope on the opposite side of the room, you cna also slip some DC/MC there, but never place your OC in the same place as your mini outpost or it will be spotted and remembered by your foe.

    Don't be one of the noob gorges who just places their sensory chambers in the middle of walking paths.

    If you have ever played chess or checkers, you know the most intelligent move is always the one made forward. Place them in hive to defend and on the front lines. Dont place them in a hallway that runs between two well defended hives. Logic is the deciding factor in chamber placement. If you can put them on something like the catwalks in refinery on bast, you get the most advantage, by cloaking both floor and ceiling. maximum area coverage and minimum detectibility are what i look for in a good sens placement.

    The map ns_origin has lots of wonderful places to stick sensory chambers. There's the box in the double node room (o/d pairs on each ledge work great, too), the vent junctions (you could probably cram 7 defense chambers in the one by marine start, plus a sensory), the supports over the lava catwalk, and the semi-vents leading to the real vent near lava catwalk, and a whole score of other places.

    Note that you lost the game,

    Perhaps putting sensory first or second was your mistake.

    The longer the game draws on, the worse sensory gets.
