Bad Habbits In Ns

<div class="IPBDescription">What're yours?</div> In Tanith, I'm so used to typing "RR" for "Reactor Room" that when I'm on voice comms and commanding, I yell "EVERYONE, RUSH TO THE READY ROOM!" at the start of the map. This also happens for Red Room. Some people even F4.

I'm used to "res" meaning "resolution" in terms of monitors. Sometimes I find myself saying "I have 34 resolution, I'm saving up for the hive."

Anyone else have stupid habits?

    My bad habbit is completely turret farming each res node. I did this when NS first came out and it worked all the time but then the aliens got smart. I don't like having to change my tactics so that's why I don't often.

    My bad habit is both leaving the main base only lightly defended (usually an elec tf crunched with an ip, armory + 2-3 turrets) and trusting in my pub marines to not leave the base empty. As you can imagine this combination has lead me to relocating to wherever my marines happen to be at the time.

    Whenever I see a onos stomp a fellow marine who has HA, I bravely run infront of the HA so I'll be the one who gets devoured, but if I have a jet pack I jump out of the way at the last second and reason that the onos might die from lead poisoning

    I have an odd habit of using my mouse wheel to sqitch back and forth between two specific attacks. For example, I'll be a skulk and be set to bite, and I'll use my mouse wheel to scroll to parasite, then scroll back to bite, and click. I didn't realize I do this until I caught myself doing it a couple weeks ago, some kind of subconscious habit for me, and I can't seem to stop myself from doing so.

    also when I try to set up the use last weapon thing I make sure I get it right by going back and forth and back and forth soo many times to quadruple check... its a really time wasting habit

    yup, i do that a lot in cs, and more often that not it means im not ready for whoevers about to come round that corner.

    Reloading BEFORE actually killing your enemy. I get so used to the number of shots it takes to kill a skulk that most of the time I auto-reload after a certain number of shots, which sucks if I'm one shot away from killing them.

    My bad habit, is that if my team are idiots, I tend to shout often and whine, and order them about, telling them info on the battlefield. (as aliens)

    Since comming is hard, I rather just play as marine or alien and just yell stuff

    Sometimes I sub-consciously switch to the pistol when a skulk gets really close, even when I havn't run out of ammo yet. Never seem to do this for long range targets though. Figures.

    I have a habit of getting out my knife when a skulk gets close too, but that works out quite well occasionally, as they tend to back away a bit if you manage to get a few good slashes on them. Then I just whip out my LMG and waste them, as I usually havn't finished the clip off yet <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    mines probably being too cautious.... you can usually find me checking EVERYWHERE in a room, in a slow sweep see if i can find any skulks/whatever that may be lurking.... usually ends up getting me killed, coz of sommat coming from the other side......

    I crouch when shooting and I allways mix up rr, red room and reacter room. I allso have a short fuse for idoits not doing what there suppose to do; which offten leads to me chanting its "only a game over voice com".

    As a marine, I'll bunnyhop like mad if a skulk sneaks up on me and gets in a suprise bite. I'll also crouch when shooting down long hallways, which always ends with me getting eaten from behind. I also run out of ammo all the time, so I end up having to get weapons off the ground, trading my 0 ammo LMG for one with 9 or 10 shots.

    I also tend to say abbreviations over voicecomm, such as "Get to RR!" "I only have twenty res!" or "Get to SatCom! There's HA/HMG marines here!... ITs not all that hard to say the whole word, but I still screw it up.
