kekeke
Anyone else replace their digesting image? Soon as I found out I could, I replaced it with a black screen, which is much much better than onus anus. But that gave me the idea that you could replace it with pretty much anything, so one game I announced to the alien team that I had replaced my digesting image with porn, and they stopped eating me lol

Lol, actually I don't think it's the anus but just some tissues in their stomache.

I've removed my devour sprite, too. Reminds me too much of goatse.

I'm fine because it moves. Maybe if someone made a happy sprite that moved...perhaps a short animated cartoon related to NS..:O

What happens if you remove the sprite?
• MrMojoMrMojo Join Date: 2002-11-25 Member: 9882Members, Constellation
I dont think it works. You have to replace it with something.

If you remove the sprite you are able to see through the Onos.

(Sort of.)

You can see the map but all player models and structures are invisible.

If someone has a replacement sprite that they wish to post, I would probably use that instead of not having a sprite. (For reasons of fairness.)

I removed the devour sprite on the first or second day that I played NS as it was a bit to disgusting for my taste.

Since when did the digesting screen move?
To me it was just a picture with sound.
• MrMojoMrMojo Join Date: 2002-11-25 Member: 9882Members, Constellation
Well not move...but...it...sort...of...shakes...like a stomach would do. Not just a picture, but a living thing.

You can always pretend its the digestive tract of a beautiful woman instead.

Why is there light in the onos? Shouldn't the stomach be like.... black?
• J_D_WJ_D_W Join Date: 2003-05-22 Member: 16598Members
yeah and if it is kept light it should be half full up with digestive juices like a stomach would be and be green because the aliens blood is green.

Um. Yah.

Don't you think it would be boring if the default was just black ?
• StoatBringerStoatBringer Join Date: 2003-06-09 Member: 17144Members, Constellation
Obviously the stomach is illuminated by the marines helmet lamp. Or luminous alien digestive juices. Or something.

Anyone who thinks they're looking at the anus (which actually is pretty much the external part of the backside) needs to pay more attention in anatomy class. If you're in the stomach, you'll either be looking at where the stomach exits to the large intestine, or at where the oesophagus connects to the stomach.

I would hate to have to fight the "Alien biology" war. Let's not forget these creatures are completely composed of bacteria, and have no "apparant" need for having said tracts. However, the healing function of the cows' digest ability would suggest you are correct.

Maybe the oni anatomy is different ;O.

Actually it's the exit to the small intestine and if you read the manual in t's entirety you'd see it stated they have no need to eat due to the bacterium.

Also keen to point out that a stomach isn't strictly needed for digestion, since most foods are absorbed in the large intestine.

So it could still be an anus or anal sphincter, since we've no proof that you're actually in its stomach.

I know it *isn't* an anus. That doesn't stop it from reminding me of goatse.
