Sorry, you really caught me at a bizarre point in my life. Use the search it'll tell you much, although I haven't seen a picture of the nuke in a long, long time.
So as far as i have heard about it, it was something that costed lots of res, commander was able to drop it (dont remember if it required to be built by marines) and after a while if it wasnt destroyed it was able to clear a large area.
heh.. maybe bring it back to even things again <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
It was taken out as it wasn't very inactive, encouraged turtling, and Flay is of the Blizzard RTS school of thought of "they shall not be an ultimate weapon that you can safely deploy from base."
That nuke sounds like one of those uber-weapons each side gets in C&C, i.e. GDI = Ion Cannon with Adv. Comm Center, NOD = Nuke with Temple of Nod.

Barky isn't feeling good, son.
Even though the thought of a <b>"nuke"</b> in Natural Selection sounds just extremely bizarre, it would be something that I would like to check out for myself.
The day will arrive.
I'm extremely tired.
nah nah you're doing it all wrong, you have to send 4 orcas out on a suicide mission to the construction yard, and once they get there you do the ion cannon on it...
Mammoths? NOD missile bikes are rather nasty against them. Just keep those bikes moving and they'll never get hit, or if your enemy does manage to take down any of them they will be more than balanced by the loss of those mammoths.
EDIT: In reply to buildings appearing, if you watch the construction yard very closely, you can see what appears to be a little cube being lifted out. I believe that the storyline is that a minature construction vehicle, similar to the mobile construction yard, is produced by the construction yard, which then goes to the location and unpacks itself. Of course C&C wasn't exactly advanced enough to show all that stuff going on. However I believe that is the actual storyline reason.
The nuke was taken out, your question has been asked many times, in many ways, some more creative than others.
