New Player Guide

I've been writing guides to video games for a long time now, and I decided to do some for NS! I've started by adding a guide for the LMG, and another for the Pistol. I'm working on a basic guide for all players of both races. Any feedback would be great

They are both at the bottom of the "Guides" section.

As an update, I'm looking for anyone who would like to write some Alien guides, for an example:

How to use the Fade for true p0wnage.

Followed by CLEAR, EASY TO UNDERSTAND steps. I dont care how long it is, as long as it isn't really short. Generally, I like it to be neat, but I can fix it if you cant I will give full credit, and I will remove it if you ask.

    Cheers,

    -Shift

You have some nice guides there. I like to write but I'm not good enough with a Fade to write it (I like being a marine). It's not terribly hard to know what to do with a Fade (hit and run), but it's just mastering the technique that takes time.

Exactly, but I personally am not the greatest at close-combat. I will most likely need help with the Skulk as well. I'm decent, but not GOOD.

Um, the LMG doesn't do 15 damage per shot.... More like 10.

When I practice with bots, I have numeric damage enabled. Try it and you'll find the exact damage. I haven't found any use in writing down damages, since it doesn't really matter when you're playing. If I recall correctly, it was 10 damage for lvl0, 11 for lvl1, etc.

So it's 13 for level 3? I just gave an aproximate, because really it wont matter *laughs* You'll either get them with some ease, or lose with some ease I also think it's more like 11 for 0, 13 for 1, 15 for 2, etc.

If you are posting a "guide"... I would expect accuracy to be important...

Because as we all know, guides are about telling you the numerical usage of the gun. I know I sit there and count the amount of times I hit a guy. The guide is about using the gun, not that the gun does 'x' damage at 'y' distance, so you should set your windage variable to 'z'.
