Bah, you're lucky Im a nice guy. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> Maby you really needed all those judges.. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
And I'll say.. impressive but not so impressive in a way. I should have expected it.
Now I'm not really feeling very good saying anything bad, so I won't. So..
Very nice Acid.. looks very good. If i knew more about guns I might've had more to say. Sorry.
And as for Owen.. um.. nice.. err.. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> Please don't hurt me!
owen, your pic was very nice. i like the shading you put into it, however, it just doesn't add up to the detail that went into acid's. so i'm gonna have to go with him.
Ok, own made a very good pistol, with good colors. But the shape of the actual pistol is out of order. The grip is too far back and the back of the barrel too fat. Acid's pistol on the other hand, looks like a pistol in shape and size. The colors somewhat boring, but still a better work of art.
I'm just gonna say what I think, even though I'm not a judge... Acid good job. It has lots of detail; which is always a good thing. Owen. Um... okay. First of all, it looks like you used a photoshop or Paintshop pro gradient for the shading... Because I know mspaint can't do that and no one could do one that perfect... This is an mspaint compo, use mspaint. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> Also.. it is kinda blocky.. and mishapen... with little detail.

Owens is good, but the grip's out of whack and under part that slides back on the top of pistols, it's a little bland but the slide's good, nice colors and shading. The hammer's somewhat goofy too. Awesome for MSPaint work none the less.
Acid's is small, but detailed. Not much more to say but the colors don't really fit. The backround doesn't fit, because it's the same color as the gun. And the gun's basicly just one shade all over and the blue on the sights doesn't fit it well. But I like, yet again, it's MS Paint.
<span style='color:red'>Inuss say:</span> Yep, <b>Acid snake</b> won this one. Nice <u>smooth curves on the weapon</u> and alot of <u>attention to detail</u>.
I am a little surprised that you guys abused the filler tool. Add some gleam to that weapon on the edges with even a shade of lighter color. I'll give credit to Owen for the shading on the top of the gun, very nice! why didn't you do that along the side of the gun too?
Owen, watch out for sharp edges. The hammer on the pistol...is....egh...something is wrong there, too flat.
Both of you need to fix the handle, the bottom of the handle is just kinda dangling there; but then again, I'm just picky.
Good work both of you ppl, lets see what happens next round.
((OH yeah, PM me again when you are done. That worked good))
actually mika, that pistol is better than the two others, in my opinion that it. It has more "pixel power" to it, if you get my drift <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
But yeah closed competition! Bad Mikachu! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> There is a pixel contest going on that you might want to join with that pistol. Just look at the webbed topics.
secondly, tha background on my pic IS NOT tha same color as tha gun.....and i would have made tha thing black, but then you'd not be able to see details, unless i drew them in a lighter color, which would have looked like crap...
not sure what you mean by tha end of tha handle is "dangling there"....
There isn't a filter tool on MS-Paint....
And i agree, tha shading reeks of another program....Owen, you shot down tha idea i had of using PS or any other program for special effects, in favor of a pure MS-Paint skill contest...so let's stick with that, ok?
and lastly...that pistol with tha laser doesn't look like it was done in MS-Paint....still interesting to look at though.....
Again, thanks guys...
Next round.....Rifle/carbine/LMG......
i may not be able to post my entry to this round for a day or so, seeing as how they have me working crappy hours all weekend....but i'll try.....
sorry im late for this. but yeh acid snake your guns bit better, smoother lines etc. I was sorta expecting more detailed pics, but oh well <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

no this is mspaint shading... honest, all u have 2 do is keep lightning the colour ur using and mirror it vertically. the point of this compo is that acid saw that i used mspain for shading but he has more detail... plz do ur research and dont make idle accusations

Wow.. I like the artificial noise incorporated into that rifle.
Acid-Snake, I actually did do that in MSPaint even though I love my Photoshop.. I did copy it there to save it into .gif because MSPaint sucks **** at conversions. I did custom color style shading as well so now my colors in Paint are all messed up. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> And now I'm looking for that pixel thing.
I never thought the gradient looking piece was made in photoshop, but the random pixellations on the shaft looks more like a simple filter, but it is very possible to do that in mspaint as well. Ok, good going by both of you, but please don't do all weapons, gets boring, do teddybears or perhaps faces or houses.

tha way this was supposed to go was there would be a number of categories, with like 2 or 3 images each.....
"all submitted items will be judged on overall appearance, artistic value, detail, skill level/technical value (proficiencywith the agreed art program), design skill, design realism, style, and of course tha VERY optional cool factor....

We're still in tha first part...so this'll go on for about a month, i'm thinking....
Comments
Dreadfully sorry, chum....
i got wrapped up in some personal things, and totally forgot about tha compo...i'll have an image up after i get home from work....

Althought they both are great, this round goes to Acid.
Acid was able to but more detail into his pistol. Plus the fast that the size ratios are better, therefore making it the better gun.
Bloody Judjes.....there are like 9 judges on tha pannel, and only 2 answer?....
Hold off on tha next gun...time to PM our panel...
1 for acid
Acid good job. It has lots of detail; which is always a good thing.

I know this is a closed competition but I couldn't help myself. Plus it's too small and blurry to make much of a dent.
Rar!
