Ns Promo Flier

<div class="IPBDescription">Mini-adverts</div> I'm looking for a flier I can print out, about 50mm square, for distribution around my mate's college to promote NS. I plan to print out about a hundred of them, roughly 24 per a4 page, and pin them to corkboards, slip under doors, poke into letterboxes... that kind of thing. I did the same thing with a dilbert comic a couple months ago and the results were very interesting.

Criteria:

<ul>
<li> Have the heading "Natural Selection" at the top.
<li> No more than 50mm x 50mm
<li> Black and white. (<b>Almost</b> crucial. I could print out a lesser number of colour ones.)
<li> Includes a marine and an alien.
<li> Has some kind of catchy motto. ALA "It's time to evolve".
<li> Possibly have room for the insertion of an IP of the computer that will be hosting the NS2.0 install and/or server.
<li> Be readable.
</ul>

Most of the people at this college play CS now so bonus points for tying in some kind of CS pwnage.

I know there are a lot of talented artists in here. Gogogogogo!

    55-60 would be OK but the smaller the better.

    Wow. Those are really good.

    Can we get a color one of the first flier though? I'd make that my CS spray, definately.

    Great idea, the flier spray thing.

I was goin to use the Badazz Marine pic from my site. I have no probs with anyone editing my stuff just let me know by pm, post or something.

    I tried printing out CaL_FiN's one as a test. It didn't turn out too well. The text at the top and bottom is too fuzzy to be readable. It would be great if you could redo it with a sharper font. The others look great printed, especially the one with the skulk's jaws.

    Power-Line: Carbon14's your man. He made a set of sigs for our clan. Pretty cool no?

    Please note that the image is at 500x500 pixels because the resolution is at 100 px/cm. Also, the image is black and white, not grayscale (I'm not sure which one you wanted). Setting a high resolution would be the best way to prevent a pixelated mess while printing, in my opinion. There is space underneath the onos to allow for an IP address or something.. Was I supposed to put NS.org on there anywhere?

    The image comes from the NS media pack, I just did composition work. Hope you like it.

    Goodgood!

    All these are looking nice! I've got two pages printed out and ready to cut up. Some of calfin's one, a few of skinny's pistol one, some of Power-Line's skulk mouth shot and four bigger versions of mikachu's. All look very nice.

    If I could ask just one more thing of calfin: Could you release a higher-res version? About the same size of mikachu's. They look much better printed on my el-crappo printer when they've been scaled down.

    I'm currently re-working the whole image.

    I made that one at 50 x 50... I am starting again and 500 x 500 with rendered images instead... I'll post it soon <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Holy thread archeology batman! It occurred to me the other day that this thread would be perfect for inclusion amongst the ideas in the NS2 E-Team forum. Fortunately I saved a few of the NS fliers created:

    Here's one I whipped up in half an hour or so:

    <img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/nsfliers/flier1.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    And here's the B&W version:

    <img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/nsfliers/flier1bw.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    And here's the the NS2 text from the site header banner, sans background. For your own use:

    <img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/nsfliers/ns2text.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    --Scythe--

    P.S. Slightly lighter text:

    <img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/nsfliers/flier1lightertext.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />
