It's one of the few space sims (or games in general) with a storyline that really affected my emotions. There's nothing like the part where... uh wouldn't wanna spoil it for you guys <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.

The good thing is, FS2 is now available ... <span style='color:red'>***NUKED - No Warez - Fam***</span>

If you haven't played it yet, I suggest you try it. The single player campaign is worth 3 or 4 days of gaming, and will keep you hooked on the storyline with EACH mission. No more of that *** "l0ok t3h ali3ns r inv4d1ng l3tz k1ll 3m" ***ness <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.

    I *THINK* I got a Demo of it with a joystick I bought a while back. It was pretty good.

    lol, when people type w/e it makes me think of one of the too-much-makeup "ghetto" latina girls at my school saying "WUH-EVUH~" and probably doing hand gestures to indicate "whatever".

    i got ahold of FS2... should i play 1 first? or just dip into 2 immediately?

    hate to break it to you guys, but was it released as freeware like GTA1 was?? eh? eh? Or are they just allowed to release it for free since the company doesn't/hasn't complained about it.

    FS1 is still not available on underdogs. FS2 is a great game, go play it. Check out the fansites for some custom missions.

    BTW, while you're at it, check out Noctis, a 100% freeware game based on the concept of mapping an entire galaxy. It's hard to describe, but go check it out.

    well, i bought FreeSpace: The Great War (thats number one) with FreeSpace: The Silent Threat (that's the expansion) in 99. Do you know...how many times i have played through that game... wow. too many. i think 5 or 6 times. plus i went through the silent threat a few. and then of course there was the user made campaign for a contest that was included. played that. played online. man.. i loved that game. that was a great game. I have yet to play FS2. My friend (who introduced it to me) said it relied much more heavily on missiles. But anyway, if you can get FreeSpace, do so. Awesome, awesome...awesomeawesomeawesomeawesome.... AWESOMEAWESOME....... game. I wonder if i can fit that word in there anymore. hmm..
