What? No, this is a brand new picture. The NS team worked hard over the past week to add whole new view models and hud graphics. Note the spinkee.. ehhrrm... egg models.

yes, and yes, though they're both so out of date that the answer could just as easily be no.

I like those webs... I was thinking they were like caltrops, laying on the ground.

How are they set? They don't look like they are set on the wall like a trip mine.

Not sure but what makes sense to me is aiming at one side of the wall and then aiming at where you want the other side to be stuck to.

Oh and I remember a pic a long long time ago that showed the NSTR 2 placeholder alien looking like it was holding a welder (which NSTR 2 is the OP4 displacer

Noooo!!!! Flay it's o  k, you got rid of the place holders remember. They're are no more CS models sitting in any NS folder except maybe in a museum. It's a thing of the past, we must move forward.

hah hah. I remember when I first looked at NS and saw those screenshots. You know, even then, I thought "This mod is gonna be kickass when its released". So I registered up on these here forums. To be honest, I think it was the webs that really drew me in. Heh heh. I wanted to make pretty pretty designs on the walls of NS_Bast . . . . Well, that and I thought the concept was cool.
Oh yeah, and the shotty concept looked sweet. Still does.

Nope, they look a <b>lot</b> nicer.

You know, I've actually got files containing nearly every placeholder that we had.

I also have a -ton- of old screenshots... especially the funny ones. I've got one I absolutely -will- whip out very close to release. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

Point at a wall, click. Splitter splat sound. Aim at opposite point. Click. Splitter splat sound. Web is there. Repeat ad-infinitum.

    Neat.

I just want to play as a lvl2, as per my avatar choice.

I will make it my goal of spelling profane words out of webs all over the level.  <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

LOL, somewhere we have a web pentagram . . .hmm . .wonder  where that shot went. Oh, and Fam wrote his name. I liek to put webs in the space that a door takes up so that when a marine walks through, they walk right into the webs. heh heh. Other good spots include at the bottom of elevator shafts and around corners in vents . .

I've got a plethora of screenshots that have never been posted. Some years from now, they'll be the subject of a 'Look Back' series. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
