Comm's Pet

Every Marine Team Needs One
First, if you don't know, a 'comm's pet', or what I would call one, is a marine dedicated to doing random and useful things for the comm.
Things that a comm's pet would do would be stuff like this: building a certon res node, building in general for that matter; grabbing a welder and make sure every building its at full health; base monitoring, generally with the use of a jetpack and phase gates; telling the comm he is soo good and cracking jokes... etc...
From my experience, marines have done alot better when there is a comm's pet present. I think its the most important role on the marine team... sure you might not be the one taking down 3 skulks with a lmg and pistol and surviving, only to be praised by the whole team...but your making sure everything is running smoothly so your team can advance.
I'm not saying that other positions aren't important, I just think that this position is a key role, and s a must have on the marine team.
And to properly be a comm's pet, you really need a jetpack. Welders help too if your going to repair a outpost under attack. And a shotgun in case you run into a pesky skulk, or a minor offensive (if its a big one, thats what the jetpack is for, save your equipment and run, then let others know about the attack.)
The main thing is to keep busy, listen to the comm, and monitor everything. If you have nothing to do, ask the comm if you can go cap a res node, or take down some existing kharra res nodes.
Does any one else agree? Or better yet, have suggestions.

That way i stand a chance against anything....
Just guard whatever the phase gates lead to... and if an onos comes in... dont shoot right away... wait till the tf is down.. or the onos runs away (meanin its low on health...) them BAM...BAM...BAM... dead onii
Mmmh, since I love to be Commander's Pet "rank" ... I think we should make up a tag to identify the commander pet, so at least people that come around here would know what it is ( ex: [commpet] ) or something or comm assistant or something, so they won't drop a HA on me when I need a welder .

Or you could kill him before the TF goes down. It wasn't free, you know. I understand wanting to let the turrets get some shots in and taking advantage of the onos not noticing you, but it's still a waste of res if you lose a building.
But I monitor the bases too, just less than others probably...
Whatever the terminology is, a random-doer-person is always good to have.
Sorry for the offtopicness
If you attack right away.. a redemption onii will come over and maul you...then redeem
attack right away.. and a regen onos will have no trouble mauling you then running away to regenerate
Attack right away and a carapace onos will have no trouble mauling you.. THEN gettin the tf...
let the turrets get pot shots in.... then right when the tf is gonna fall.. stroll up to his big ****.. and unload ur shot gun.... 4 shots later i guarantee he is either redeemed, or dead... and then u weld the shottie
Im sorry i should have been more clear.. dont let the tf fall.. let it be a distraction for you to get up close and personal with ur shottie friend......

If you don't listen to your commander then you have no business being on the marine team.
Yup he is the handyman from 1.0x, I was trying to find the name from back then .
i prioritize
1. build structures ie defense
2. secure key locations / hives
3. shoot incoming skulks
4. knife down alien's res
5. destroy any chambers
6. Gorge hunting (my fav)
they might be wrong order, lol
