If they actually went in to liberate the people and I was wrong, then I'll be angry. Why? Because cultures have no right to meddle with each other. In their culture, insulting their leader is a terrible crime that is punished harshly. That's their law. I'm sure that Russians find the US drinking age funny. However, that's US law and they have no right to change it. The US meddles in other peoples' business too much, and I'll believe that there are WMD when I see them, or evidence of them with my own eye. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
I disagree strongly. The cost of war would still over shoot what we would get from the Oil Fields. That was just some propaganda thrown out there by the extremely liberal media.

You'll see Iraq had MANY weapons of chemical, and biological potenence. We can't seem to find those weapons anymore. Why? Because Saddam hid them away, smuggled them out of his country to give the US a bad reputation because many people wouldn't look back and see that Iraq DID possess such weapons, and it would stir up anomisty against the United States. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Funny you should say that. We sold weapons to the iraqi's to kill iranians, then we sold iranians weapons to kill iraqis. We live in a sick little country....One nation, under the dollar bill.

Key word there? HAD. I don't for one moment dispute that Iraq used to have WMD, but where are they now? I believe they were destroyed, that Saddam realised that the potential problems of having them were far greater than any potential gains. You say they've been smuggled out. Well where are they? I find it hard to believe that a government could cover up the large scale shippment of chemical and biological weaponry out of it's country. It could try and keep it hidden, but with the US in control of the entire country something would have to turn up. A file, a peice of paper, a discarded vial of anthrax, anything at all. Instead we've found nothing. PLus there's the problem that if you are suggesting that Saddam smuggled WMD out before the invasion then you're admiting you were lied to, because your government told you that Iraq could launch WMD within 45 minutes of ordering a strike. To suggest that weapons were smuggled out during the invasion is ludicrous, considering the entire country was under 24 hour air patrols and satalite coverage.

    /me sighs...

I'll shortly post a thread of similiar intent that'll offer a number of URLs on the Kelly affair and the Nigerian connection as a starting point. Once that one's opened, I'll lock this as it's going further and further off topic.
