Need Some Tips

Okay, I have been trying to make some pictures with Adobe Photoshop but I cannot seem to make anything that looks like what I want it to. so what I really need is something to help me get started <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> .

I really want to make some things with photoshop but right now my knowledge of it allows me to utilize very few things in it, so somebody please help me

A good place to start is the tutorials that come along with Photoshop. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Basically, just play around with it for a few days, off and on, and get used to how everyhting is set up. I jsut got done writing a tutorial for someone else for if you have a basic drawing, how to add nice shading and such to it. What kind of things are you shooting for?

Well I am trying to make a picture of a Hydra right now but I really really suck at using the brush tool freehand and the pen tool doesn't do what I want it to, so I guess I try the tut's that come with it. so any general advice for make drawings in it I guess would be a bit more specific

I think adobe illustrator is what ur looking for

The best way is to make a sketch free hand first then scan it in and work it over.
