Stupid Newbie, Easy Fix

<div class="IPBDescription">Out dated exe?</div> I can't connect because it claims I have an outdated exe. I'm not stupid, I know this means I am not running the same version. I am running 2.0, and relize most people are running 2.01. The problem is I can't find a client patch for 2.0 -> 2.01. The beta fourms claim you don't need to patch, only servers do. However, this isn't my experience. Can someone enlighten me please?

and just to clarifiy you don't need to update your ns, 2.01 is a server side patch only.

If the above has not helped you then:-
1 uninstall NS
2 Try to join Half-Life or CS game online do you get the same error?
3 Assuming yes, quit HL go to redphive or fileplanet or whereever and get the HL update 1.1.1.0
4 After that reboot and try step 2 again.
5 Assuming it now works re-install NS and enjoy the best multiplayer game on the net <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
