Reporting Cheaters?

where do I report a cheater? I have multiple demos and his unique id. The demo is not "maby he's cheating" it's pretty obvious.
He was speedhacking, aimhacking, lagging the server, and every permutation of those.

there should be an official forum to report cheaters and a single sticky with a wonid list of known cheaters. Then server admins could simply ban the list. Also the use of cheating death needs to be more encouraged. So far I've only been on one server that even uses it much less requires it.
oh and he was using buzzhook with an ogc hack most likely. Currently there are 3 different major cheat packages for NS.

While that's a good idea for giving people a heads up to cheaters, it's also a REALLY bad one. The possibility for abuse and the masses of flames would be ridiculous.

I can see you mean well, but sometimes it's best to be descrete about things like this.

If he's a confirmed league clan player, you might find it a good idea to email the clan admin about him and also possibly contacting whatever leagues they're in about him, also contacting any server you see him/her on's admin alerting them to his presence. But posting his/her details in an open forum would be a bad idea. =\

Generally, it's up to the server admins if they want to ban a "cheater" or not. There are very few people i've seen put on auto-ban accross a lot of servers (members of the [Champion] clan were most of them).

Honestly, about the only thing you can do is to get into contact with a server operator, present your evidence, and hope it's enough to warrant a ban.

However, what you do not do is bring it onto the NS Forums. Setting up a banlist like that would just be open to painful amounts of abuse. After all, who is going to check... scratch that. Who is going to HOST all the demos and information for each person, verify that WonIDs are correct, make sure that files have not been tampered with... and then who is going to make sure the hoster would not tamper with them? I mean, I'm pretty sure you'd have a lousy day, if you came home from work and found out that one way or another, YOUR WonID was on the 'global ban list'.

Patience. VAC integration should be here soon, and the cheaters will hang themselves.
