<div class="IPBDescription">Sigh...another day, another owned hive</div> Honestly, I can scarsely count how many times this has happened, whether i'm comm or not.
Picture this: Game time 10:00. Marines have 3 res towers and steady tech. Victory seems to be in reach with one hive locked down. Kills are in our favour. But what's this? The dreaded 10:00 mark means the onos are coming.
Shotguns are dropped, turrets are placed (but do nothing seeing as how it's 2.01d) and phases are ready. So what happens? Marine start gets rushed by some lerks and gorges. 5 of the seven man team rushes to "stop" these alien pests from doing any real damage, only to get killed by OCs, spores, fades, and other assorted noob traps.
Suddenly an onos attacks the hive outpost looking to clear it and claim hive #3 for his own. Commander yells "Hive is under attack! PHASE NOW!". So what happens? Maybe one person will phase through....if your lucky. Two if they happen to be doing nothing else at the time. Like it matters. Onos eats one, kills the other and your phase goes bye-bye. That is if he doesn't stand on it anyhow and render it utterly useless.
SO then the xeno starts and the acid rockets fly. Game over. GG mr. "Duh what's a phase gate for? I'd rather ram my head into an OC wall."
People need to start listening to their comms or they'll still be loosing this badly in 2.01z. PERIOD.

7 res towers for marines....aliens have 2 res towers... 1 onos...

and what happens?
we couldnt take them out for 30 minutes......
why?
only 3 people out of the 9 man team was acutally doing something.......
and 1 of them was the commander....so thats 2 fighters vs 9 ppl alien team

the comm and i screamed our heads off for phase gate and what happens?
3 guys armory humps till 250 ammo (or very close to) gg public servers
we need servers that have a rule that says ....if you're a newbie, listen, if not, you are gone
1. Use a mic marine rarely listern to typeing even if its caps now if your shouting down the mic telling them to phase thier gonna bloody phase.
2. If u dont have a mic but are a fast typer identify marines by thier names if u give a set person an order by his name he feels its his mission to do and will most likely phase as he wants to kill that onos/lerk whatever it may be, to get some praise.
3. SELL THE ARMOURY and move it to the hive i swear to u every marine phases then lol they seem to love the touch of a freashly made armoury on thier skin.
Thier is also the idiot factor tho... no matter how good a pub team is u will always get a few idiots that will just hump that armoury no matter what these are mainly new players that dont know what a phase gate is and think they need 300 rounds to kill that 1 skulk or people that dont speak the same language as the commander and dont have a clue in hell whats he is going on about.
Then u have the ""elite"" factor in that the player has a complex that he is so ""elite"" that he doesnt need to listern to the commander and can just go do his own thing and win the game...lol i dont think so the so called ""elite"" people end up being the biggest nubbins of all running around ignoreing all orders by the commander thinking their good.
(To identify these people look for the ones going HAHAHAHAHAHAHA after they kill a gorge with 10hp, or say nubbins to everything every secound word)
NS is not CS get that into your head please u cant do as u like and win it doesnt work that way in NS u need TEAM-PLAY.
Anyway thats my take on the Phase Gate scare problem.

On the other hand, there once was this onos stuck in engine room, not in the hive but in the small room behind it.
I was just spectating and I ONLY joined aliens to help this onos out since noone cared.
So I stood next to him waiting for 10 res to gorge laughting at him.
He sayd "help me out", I build a movement chamber, and he was even more caged just behind the movement chamber. he sayd "oh cool, build me more stuck" I told him 5 times to USE the movement chamber and showed him, build another one, he insulted me 5 times and rejoined the server, than moaning about loosing to be onos with 100 res, my answere "stupidity deserves to hurt".
Grunt 1: "Horseshoe is heavily OCed! Let's take it down!"
Com: "PHASE TO ECLIPSE!"
Grunt 2: "We've taken most of those OCs down now..."
Com: "Eclipse is lost. So is the game."
Grunt 1: "Horseshoe is free."
It's the frustrating games that you remember the most avidly.

It seems even when I shout at my marines to... ehem...

A marine has sneaked up near a hive, put up a PG, the aliens know he is here, and start attacking, lots of people rush into the PG, well about 3 people, then you die, get spectator mode, while you respawn, all you see, is most of you're team armory humping for 50/250 while you're outpost is being eaten.

I´ve even had to resort to saying "I will ban everyone that don´t take the effin' phasegate NOW!!"

This was back in 1.04, and the phase came under attack. I spawned and ran right into the phase, took out a few skulks and finally ran out of ammo. I asked for some ammo off the comm, but he didn't drop me any. Another guy phased through, so I went back to get some ammo from the armoury.
Next thing I know, I have almost the entire team screaming at me to stop armoury humping and to get through the phase gate. Firstly, the phase wasn't under attack anymore and secondly I'd only managed to get 2 clips from the damn armoury by this time anyway, an no pistol ammo. I was completly insulted by my entire team for being a, <b>'NUBCAEK humper!!11oneone1!11!'</b>. Though on pubs even these only have a 50 percent sucess rate
Option 1. Hold down the mic button and yell.. PHASEPHASEPHASEPHASE... nonstop until one of two things happens
1. The phase goes down
2. The fucktards actually phase and shoot whatever is over there
Option 2 is to select all marines and click thier waypoint to the phasegate, and all around it, so they get the computer voice telling them to go to waypoint over and over and over....
Often times combining these two options cause too much confusion.... and therefore less effectiveness
However basically annoying the crap out of the nublet marines is often enough to get them off the damn armory, off thier ramboing tactics... and THROUGH THE PHASE....
