Who's on point?
I have given some consideration to movement of squads in NS and how travel in groups can be maximized.
Groups of marines usually wind up traveling in single file with a man at the front (on point) and a man in the rear (rear security). Everyone in between is just.. there. Roles switch as marines move from room to room, with the pointman remaining at the doorway/archway, watching the rear until his entire group passes. He then becomes the rear guard and follows along.
I've noticed that this change-up keeps all the marines on their toes, as their roles change throughout traveling and allows them to be more alert.
Movement strategies for HA can be different when welders are introduced, as most heavy trains form into tiny crowds when they have time to weld one another. I haven't thought out a good movement plan for these guys yet. And jetpackers really mess up the works

Marine 1 *
Marine 2 *
Marine 3 *
Etc.
This will keep the retreat route open, and easy to Fall back cause you would get coverfire from the ones that are behind marine 1. and this would give marine 1 time to withdraw.
the last man in line HAS to watch the team`s back. so a good group would be a group consisting of 4 or more.
Giving you 2 options.
either put 2 to guard the front and 2 to guard the back.
or 3 to the front and only 1 back.
but this would mean that at least 1 person would have to be ready at all times to help out the one in the rear.
no matter where you are in the line. first, last or in the middle. ALWAYS try to check your back every now and then. cause you never know when you are the last one.....and as soon as YOU become the last one, you have to take over responsibility for the rear area.
The most important thing is just to stick together without getting in each other's way. Spread out as much as practical while being within line-of-sight of the whole squad.
btw ...that one must cover while the others move is pointless, because *no recoil* in ns...
Play less CS and more NS
And i prefer the simple:
First: hugging left wall
second: hugging right wall
third: left wall....and so on
Of course on a left turn the first freak would take a wide bow around the corner.
