evertime i join a server everything is in slow mo and when i jump its like low grav it happens constanly
i need this fixed...
i have reinstalled Ns and even Half-life but it still happens

Did you just join one server or you joined others and the same happened or your fps is very low..

Please post the system info required for assistance in this forum (see the tech FAQ above). For this, we will also need you to connect to a server and (in the console) run 'net_graph 3' and post some average framerate results here.

I have the same problem. Here are the specs though I am certain they have nothing to do with the problem because I've run NS 2.0 fine before on a different installation of WinXP

AMD Athalon XP 1700
796MB SDRAM
GeForce 2 Ti 32MB
WinXP Pro (relatively new installation)

NS 2.0
HL 1.1.10

Programs Running in backround:
Norton Antivirus 2004
Zone Alarm 4.0
Serverinfo 2.0
kXproject Sound Drivers <-- kick ****

Symptoms:
Approximately 40% reudction in movement speed and firing rate
Only present in NS mod. Not in HL game itself and from what I hear, no other HL mod.
Visible to other people. Ie. I asked if I looked like I was moving slowly and they said yes.
Ability to jump as if it was low gravity
The console menu seems to drop down and roll up slowly too

So, how about going through ALL of those threads and telling us what you have tried and what hapened

however start a NEW THREAD!!!!

in that thread, consolidated (instead of like 4 threads), gice us all the info again. Tell us exactly what you have tried.

I think all these people with this prob should either redownload ns from a new location, and reinstall hl. and then turn off all useless bg stuff. Then, stuff like norton and zonealarm. And then nvidia desktop or ati .,
