I rarely read far into the S&I forums anymore.....kinda depressing in there as a whole. I do agree that some little things are picked up here and there but for the most part I'm sure it's all mainly filler.(read--trash)
And I almost hate to go off-topic on the machine gun extendomatic clip, but would we be against a suggestion that would make it so aliens don't have to run off and rest when they get tired of biting? We could call it adrenalin upgrade or something. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Pj, the fact that you assume I'm talking all weapons or just HMG or Shotguns. I'm talking starting with 100 LMG rounds in reserve and you assume some other asinine scenario. You criticize like you are somehoe mentally superior. I have played the game since day 1. I was in [ReD]. There is no reason to think you have thought it out better than me.
HMG Piercing damage came from S&I. It might not have caught Flayra's eye there, as there was a lot of support for it in the beta forum, but there were several threads about it (one of them mine).
Damn, judging by Talesin's list, the S&I sounds like comedy gold. That doesn't mean every idea listed is absolute crap, it just means that none of those ideas are worthy enough to be in NS.
One thing to keep in mind is that coming up with good ideas is generally not the bottleneck in development. Implementation and testing are the bottlenecks.
Well that's just it Max. We don't know when we have a good idea unless it actually shows up in game. If one of the pts or devs commented in the kind of posts they want to see, we might have some guidelines to go by. As it is we just don't know if what we're posting is what you're looking for.
Yourself, Flayra and the other devs know more about where you want NS to go than we do. So, how about this. If the development team is stuck for ideas, place a thread in S&I that requests solutions to the problem you face: e.g. Flayra decides he wants to replace redemption. A post is placed in S&I saying "Guys we need some ideas for a possible redemption replacement". Then we can focus our brainstorming on a specific area. It might work, it might not, but it may help streamline the posts in S&I and help you guys out where it's most needed.
