There are alot of post of people who just saying hi if it is there first time posting lately. Not to sound rude but I think that they should be locked but before that have someone link them to the offical welcoming thread. It could help cut down on clutter and stuff.

if you read the rules... they said to instroduce ourselves to the off-topic board, so i'm just following what the rules say

You will also notice there is a hole thread that is sticked so it is always at the top for people who are new to say hi and introduce them selves.
