Futureshop.ca Screwup

...and the beast I nearly had
A few hours ago, futureshop.ca messed up a new product listing, and it seems everyone got to take advantage of it except me.
A new Compaq Celeron 2.4GHz, 17" LCD monitor, plus accessories, was obviously accidentally listed as $117.49 - the price has since been corrected to $1017.49. I was just after clicking that final 'submit online order' button when a friend on msn (who managed to get two) said their website was finally listing them as out of stock.
Sure enough, the website spit back the message saying they were now out of stock and my order was refused becuase of it. I was so close!!! Sure, a 2.4GHz Celeron isn't exactly the system I would have upgraded to, but the price sure was right.
Oh well, maybe next time.......

But you might have got away with it, because if its listed, they have to respect the listed price.

doesnt work with electronics, and in the supermarkets i know they usually let one of the workers get the real price from the back ( I worked in a supermaket, and I had to do it alot )
As a former grocery store worker, let me tell you that in all odds the clerk knew the item didn't scan, but just didn't care. I did it all the friggin time. Too much effort to try to rescan your bread, so get the hell out. That sorta thinking.
Ah apathy...
