I found this on another forum since I never pay attention to the MSN home anyway. It's not one of those "Gaming causes people to kil!!!!" articles, this guy went to quakecon to look over gamers there.

Great article that really sums up my thoughts on the whole "violence and games" debate. Brillaint stuff! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
It's on the ZDNet section of MSN, frequented mainly by IT people (professionals to geeks, and all in between). in this circle, its likely preaching to the choir. Hell, he's probably a gamer himself. While he raises valid points, those points are lost due to the fact that most supporters of the games=violence movements are not going to read them. If this article was on CNN, then maybe it would be worth more, but i'll be the first to eat my hat should that ever happen.

Thats why their parents have to take some initiative and teach them the difference between right and wrong, and if their children can't handle it DON'T buy it for them. Parents need to take a more active role in parenting, instead of bitching to the government to do it for them. You can't and shouldn't limit adult media, it has its place. It shouldn't be eliminated due to misconceptions by all the soccer moms out there. While there are definately two sides to the issue there is a very small population of children who are going to go on a killing spree after playing GTA3, then again they shouldn't have been playing it in the first place.
(and hell, puberty makes you more violent, not less so.)
