I don't think the world is ready for a chibimonse yet.

The boots aren't as shiny because they're a sharper curve (less highlight) and dirtier than the cuffs. I'm actually going to try and "weather" them a little; still looking for a way to get the effect I want in Photoshop.

those are some shiny pance! Just some thoughts: I'd dampen that slighly unnless he is wearing polished leather <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->. I'd also suggest a bit more shading on the front of his left boot(the one pointing straight toward the viewer) since it looks more like the boot is facing the other way. Well from my point of view that is. I'm picking out small things to start with while I adjust to this style of coloring; it's more detailed than I usually do, so I'm a little apprehensive of tackling, for instance, the overcoat.

The entire pirate *does* exist, and has been block-colored... I just fill everything in grey when I show y'all, so you only see the parts I've finished (or something close to finished). Next will probably be the hat, pistol & belt, or sash. Not sure yet. (:
