I played in the alphas and betas and even paid for a month of it when it finally went... um... gold?
Despite being super-cute and stylish, it eventually whittled down to being nothing more than a glorified chatroom. I'm sorry but playing with numbers by doing repetive tasks and then never being able to forget old skills to learn new ones just leads you to a click click click game of dead ends and multiple character slots -.-
I used to enjoy helping new players around, clearing paths in the pyramid to let people get to the thief guild and generally just chatting my little head off but in the end the whole thing with the levels just got on my nerves. I'm just sick of games that are big stupid calculators; I prefer more skillful or instant stuff like NS, even though it has less people.
Couple me basically being a jaded gamer with what's been said about gravity's reeeally bad customer service and treatment of iRO compared to it's favourite kRO and it's like being a starving dog under a table waiting for the scraps
It was fun for a while and cute, but people left for all kinds of reasons and these are mine
Hey man, don't be so hard on the so-called "Thai invasion"
We didn't have any server to play back then.
Anyway, 'tRo" is as strong as ever despite the nerf. Hey they only have to close the servers at late night. The players have to get home from the internet game (pub/store/cafe/whatever it is called) sometime.
At most it's only 85 Baht (or $1.5-2) for 20 hours, and 50 cents an hour at the pub (ISDN!). So it's pretty dang good deal.
Now if I can only convince (I cant) these stores to set up NS servers instead of Counterstrike and Warcraft.
