the way they were meant to be seen
if any of you have checked out the player models for onos using Half-life model viewer, you'd see that his attacks look soo much more defined. when devouring, the onos actually reaches out a distance and he gore attack movement realyl justifies why marines go flying.

Is there anyway to see the attacks ingame?

I believe it is a problem with HL that cannot be fixed.

if only Flayra would consider porting to HL2. Then all problems will be solved, and NS will looking freaking amazing

I don't think he can just port it easily and magically fix everything. It'll probably require a lot of extra work just to get the same stuff to work right. And then if he wanted to actually make it look better he would need better textures, more high-poly models, etc.

Anyone know if a CS 2 is in development for HL2 btw???

CS2 = Condition Zero. Save the NS forum bandwidth and use google.

it seems that nothign has third person animations, onos walk over to you and make horn hitty noises, skulks run near buildins and make bitey noises, no one actually does anything.

Condition zero is an upgrade on the single player side of counter strike. it is not CS2 .

Actually they do bite, and their head moves according to where they are looking too, which is dead cool You can nod and stuff like that

I'm pretty sure condition zero is an sp game for consoles. Cs2 is apparently in the works.

yeah but HL is a really old engine. It can hardly handle NS (and it shows if any of you got that 128 hud sprites error).
  • MrMojoMrMojo Join Date: 2002-11-25 Member: 9882Members, Constellation
Well, Hl2 soon, hoping for some great mods.
  • LitoLito Join Date: 2003-09-04 Member: 20560Members
yeah but new engine means you start from scratch. start from scratch means sleepless nights coding. I don't think Mr. Flayra would likey .

Condition zero is CS + new weapons, models, and maps for multiplayer, and a single-player campaign. It will be released for the PC definately (why on earth would it not be, the engine is already there and content is pretty portable), and in all likelyhood the X-box because of Live, perhaps some of the other consoles.

HL2 is not the solution to every problem. Indeed, it will cause plenty of new problems (many just because it's a new engine). Besides, a port like that would mean many months of no improvements for NS on HL1, and we wouldn't want that (at least at this stage).
