Looking For A Good Uk Webhost

I'm looking for a new webhost, I want to register www.cal-uk.net.

I would be greatful if you could tell me of any good, fast, cheap (£40ish) webhosts. I would like a 2 year contract but that's not needed. Also, could you try and give some proof that it's a good webhost, e.g. if you're hosted with them

Thanks.

Hmm, for £40 for 2 years? I must say you'll be pretty pushed to find a good one for that.

I would, however, recommend csoft.net as a host. They're canadian, but fast and very reliable. Their prices aren't too bad and the service is excellent. It's who i've registered with and a friend of mine is a 3 year customer (or so) of theirs and has nothing but praise.

Well, Price can change a bit. Which package did you buy from csoft, budget-vhost, standard-vhost or corporate-vhost? What package would you suggest for a site which will, primarily, be used for images and some small files? Plus, how do you pay? Do you say how many months you want and pay a lump sum, or do you pay monthly?

Edit: Actually, you need a credit card to pay. I banned myself from owning a credit card

I pay every 3 months by cheque, it's about ?18 for 3 months, so it's all good.

I'm on the $10 one, domain / name hosting, 150mb, unlimited bandwidth and all the mySQL i can eat.

Well, these guys look pretty good, but I have no experience with them. They're a US host, too, but they have a good price:
