Soundcard Being Bad Anything To Do With Cd?

hey.. i started with soundcard being a f**k but then thought i may get spanked for that... so lol

i got my new p.c all setup in my room!!! so woot go me! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

i got a creative soundcard from a friend.. for like nothing..

and i was playing my DareDevil soundtrack CD and kicking out amasing sound... and it is all good...

but then i got into NS or any hl game and it is all crackly like it cant handle it.. when it really can...

same with mp3's.. mp3's (all legal)
are all crackly.. the only thing which plays right is CD's anyone else have anything like this?

erm it is a creative soundblaster live....
