<div class="IPBDescription">is it intended?</div> Well I've been having this problem on origin, as onos. As all of you probably have noticed, the hive is on two levels. While some other hives are also on two levels, it is the only hive I can think of thah denies TOTALLY the access for an onos to the upper level (possibly Bast and refinery, but I'm not sure).
All other classes can either access it by the ladders or the little vent, but an onos can't take the ladder as he's too big to pass. While I can accept the fact the passage is quite hard (waste on tanith) the onos simply can't pass. The only way to be able to get there is by movement chamber, and even in that case, Ventilation is the middle hive. So it has to be built, and either attacked or not having one of the two other hives. While many hives deny access to oni thanks to jetpack, you can notice how even vanilla marines can get up there without any problem, so let's not think about HA's.
So we had this situation, three hives done, I was onos. The marines were just gathering up there and wait for shooting down the hive while I was waiting, helpless, as my team were either movment between furnace and bio, or having a hard time getting Venti. Meanwhile, I could have gotten up the ladder and gotten those people, but the onos is denied that part.
While I'm not complaining about losing the hive (and don't try to say it's my team's fault blah blah, I shouldn't be onos. I know we fought poorly) it made me wonder.. is it intended to prevent an onos from having access to some zones in a hive location, where marines can just walk to? Or did I miss a place where I can get up there? As I can understand some map locations (non-hive) where oni can't get there, it seems abnormal that hive locations, places selected for their alien-friendly structure, can't allow their oni to go where needed.

Use it,crouch while going up the ladders and you should be able to go up....I did <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
