its an actually .exe so its just an installer, all we gotta do now is wait for someone to get it on kazaa because fileplanet is wayyy sloooow.

    oh god it sais i have to wait 35mins before i start the download. if anyone is succesfull in downloading this can they please post ? and maybe host it for a while on there server ? ,,,, if they are willing to :s

    its not a virus, its from fileplanet and was released by valve, you will be able to use this version on any steam server i think. if you read the info it sais that is contains all the files from the gcache file.

    edit: This file includes the full cache of data required to run Half-Life v1.1.2.0 and Counter-Strike v1.6 in the Steam client.

    yes it will work on the steam client and its servers.

    It's a steam installer that includes the CS 1.6, HLDM and TFC.

    Don't think it's supposed to happen. Besides, waiting even an hour on FilePlanet (which I'm doing right now) compared to downloading the ENTIRETY of Half-Life over Steam at about 20kbit/s is infinitely worth it.

    Hopefully, that'll include the standard non-CS HL cache, right?

    sure sounds like it does, to bad they havent release a file like this for all the mods in steam huh..

    Ok the only way I got teamttn to work was:

    1.) Close un-necessary progs
    2.) Use IE (i want mozilla to do it but wont)
    3.) Make sure a DA (flashget DAP etc) was currently enabled
    4.) Lower the DA to 1 Jetstream on one FTP
    5.) Click the Link

    VIOLA! I finally got steam to work with NS, although I reeealy need an NS specific gcf or the Game turns out naf *buggered right click menu etc*

    download it from the direct links above.

    www.ausgamers.com was pretty good for me, i went to my local lan center and was downloading at 200kb a sec. only took about 40 mins.

    kazaa and viruses isnt the problem, its the idiots that are downloading them.. lol...

    kazaa is very usefull if you use hashes, ive never got a fake program or movie from kazaa because i use hashes..

    but anways, ebough about kazaa, guys screw fileplanet just ausgamers or, www.games.eftel.com has the link on there first page.

    I got that last night, you still have to wait for it to convert half-life.gcf and counter-strike.gcf to the actual game, which takes time. I installed it, hoping that I could just click TFC or CS and play, right there. No, no, didn't happen.

    Oh and by the way: TFC isn't on the file. Despite what the file discription said.

    Okay, <a href='http://www.counter-hack.net/' target='_blank'>counter-hack</a> has a <a href='http://www.counter-hack.net/content.php?page=steamlinks' target='_blank'>page with mirrors and cache files</a>, including CS 1.6, TFC and DoD. The cache files are torrents and they do work, I promise.

    BTW, anyone heard of a GCF compiler? Cause my friend seems to have heard some rumour about something like it.
