Holograms Disappearing

<div class="IPBDescription">when you walk too far from them</div> I have several additive model signs in my map, with the 'Hologram (distort and fade)' effect applied to them. But annoyingly, you only have to move a short distance away from them and they flicker out of existence. I minor problem, but I wondered if anyone knows more about/has a fix for it.

its meant to fade away at long distance.
disort fade , disort means the model gets disorted randomly, fade means it fades away when viewed from far.
ns_bast readyroom hologram is the same.
use rendermode additive and it wont fade away.
I'll try the simple 'Distort' renderFX and see if it makes a difference ...
