<div class="IPBDescription">still though some questions remain...</div> The washed out NS...

its conviently vague

When u say washed out do you mean everything or just the console and GUI. Because for me with updated drives and even using the Monitor calibration for NS (even though I used Adobe's before hand ((which sorry guys I trust a little more))). My console and GUI screen are still washed out.

Any idea why?

I did however on installation decline the 32bit textures or whatever it was assuming that it would get rid of this problem...because it screws up my desktop everytime someone IM's me.

Whats the deal?

-e-

It would probally be a good idea to add that yes I am using a custom GUI and Console and no I cannot post them. See my name for a hint as to why.

    /me smecks

ok look, you have to try BASE vanilla NS before your try other stuff to see if it works

so remove your H stuff, DON'T USE adobe, and Kill IM before playing (this is a HL problem not an NS problem, though it is now fixed with the HL update that came with steam)

    then go through

If it still don't work then we talk more

if it does then you should piecemeal install each diff thing and see when it borks <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I play with reg models for a week before I change things

The thing is NS reg stuff looks bizzare either way so washed out I probally couldnt tell very well. My new Console has alot of brighter Skin colors where in its probally more noticeable.

I however fail to see how changing the console would suddenly screw up everything.

Actually its probally a good idea to note when I compile my maps for NS my console is fine...when I join an actual game is when it screws up.

However...the maps Im making for NS arnt showing up in my directory which really baffels the hell outta me cause I should get a console error when they load because of conflicting locations.
