Func_illusionary And Func_seethrough

<div class="IPBDescription">When to use which?</div> I'm working on part of a map right now where there is a catwalk around a high-ceilinged room, and a small platform with a resource node on it. I'm wanting the catwalk to be invisible to the Commander but the platform the res node is on not to be. Should I make the catwalk all func_seethroughs and the platform a func_illusionary with a clip brush around it? Should I make everything func_illusionaries with clip brushes, and have the catwalk "invisible from above"? Thanks for the help.

    Use func_seethrough for the catwalks, and leave the platform as a world brush.

    The commander won't be able to drop anything on the func_seethroughs (pretty obvious, as they can't be seen by the commander).

    func ilusionarys had an "invisible from above" flag that, in ns, only makes it invisible for the comm.
    its cut of the latest .fgd.

    func illusionary, com can see.
    func_seetrough, comm cant see (by default).
