Is the picture actually 3d? So that I can see a cat from all sides or is it just a flat-thingy like readyroom text in NS

Anyway, it's very neat. Very very neat

I can't wait what else future holds.

Edit: I'm reading the page and it truely is a 3d image. And they even claim that you can manipulate the 'hologram' as if it were a virtual touchscreen. Now I have two questions: 1) How the hell does that work 2) Where can I get one for my movies.

I thought we would be seeing holograms in the far future.

And it seems that in the same time a similiar type of technology has been developed in Finland.

Fogscreen looks as cool as the american version.

That's amazing! Can't wait to see it in every day usage (Yes, I know it might take long... But still...).

It looks like a sprite. Bah, this is the 21st century, we don't "do" sprites anymore!

Mebbe they'll make some size limit? So if anything under x centimeters touches it, it ignores the touch...

Honestly, I wouldn't like a holographic keyboard. Why? I wouldn't feel that I pressed anything at all. Well, I wouldn't mind having a holo keyboard that actually feels like a real keyboard...

The use of a holographic keyboard, is if they can make the keyboard be projected from, say, a glove. Then you can have a computer anywhere you want one... true, a physical keyboard is still nicer to use, but being able to have a full computer everywhere you go at the flick of a wrist? That's better than laptops for certain...

And that is indeed the answer. The minituarisation will take another step. Imagine a PC in form of a small cube. The only problem here is the human, can't type on a cube, can he? Here would come the 'materialized' holo keyboard in. If it would detect movement, it would be really revolutionizing (like it isn't already).
