Hmm i remember once in 1.04 there was this guy who kept begging to comm.I hopped out to help build something,and he hijacked the CC.Then he spammed 3 ips.People started screaming at him and asking admin to ban hiim.
He just said "im a n00b".The moment he said that,complete immunity from all admin reprisals due to some mis-conception that anyone who sabotages a team and says "im a n00b" is REALLY a n00b and did not mean it intentionally.
People kept screaming at him.
Funny thing was there was this guy on the alien team,who insisted that the guy REALLY was a n00b(even though we've all seen him playing for a couple of weeks......)and kept telling us to shut up.
The guy ended up sitting in base,occasionally saying things like "we are securing XXX now.Oops did i say that?im a n00b!".

Well I had a strange commander once..on ns_caged I think. He started off reasonably well, then became one hell of a deluded individual, placing six phase gates in the marine spawn!! Needless to say, it was fun teleporting 5 feet constantly, but a hell of a waste of res and time...
At one point I remember a skulk was jumping through them all too...we were sort of chasing/running/shooting at it...well anyway that was a weird comm lol.

There was an evil commander named me (im the bad commander)i was playing alien and this was at the beggining stages of 2.00,with currently no upgrades (a,b,c,d,e) so turret farming REALLY sucked...after about 1 hour of every possible freaking strategy nothing worked...I went marine,sold all TF's (5 of them might i add) and sold IP's.Thats what i do to help my alien buddies <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

i got banend for doing this after the game was won, wasnt bad for marines, it was hell for onos and fades tho, behind me there was about 15-16 turrents blasting the onos as they slowly had to jump on and crouch across the electric floor of dewm
I remember once I was a rine. I commed. I was able to get the aliens to F4 about two times, and we were on our third game. I had EVERYTHING a rine could want, all coupled with about 400 res for as much spam as u could want. i was alone in our base tho, so I jumped out for a secondto put the finishing touches on our 30000'th turret. well, NSPlayer jumps in. Can you say recycle? He said 'IMA N))B!" Kind of like Hunty's story.
Got another thing, though I guess this is really common. Whenever I get ordered to go to the otherside of the map, I reach the target, then here "Move to your waypoint". A waypoint appears at base. I just sit back and think "No point in going all the way back there to build a sentry turret..I'll wait for someone else to." So I continue waiting. "Move to your waypoint". "Move to your waypoint".
Grrr...I realise its hard being a comm...maybe he selected a whole group of us and I just got caught up in someone else's order. Who knows. But what I call "Move to your waypoint" spam gets SO irritating....

The Marine commander on ns_nothing tonight decides at one point to build a phase directly next to the Viaduct hive and orders everyone to phase through and kill the hive. Instead of standing off and firing at it, they all hump it with their knives out.
If you think Armory humping makes you a big skulk target, you should have seen what happened here. I showed up as a skulk with no upgrades and began to bite. The guys humping the hive probably never heard me amidst the sound of their own knifing, because I dropped 5 of them before they even pulled their LMGs out. I knocked down 2 more that were "nearby, providing security" who I had previously run past without a shot being fired. Thereby, I started biting the phase, and killed 4 more marines before one of our Onoses showed up and finished off the phase gate.
Goes to show you how lovely it can be to have a commander who's not afraid to use attrition tactics. I can imagine him spamming their voice channel with "Ignore the skulk! Just knife the hive! Oh no!!... get through the phase! Argh."
