<div class="IPBDescription">I am amking a map atm</div> ok.... i know this may have been asked thousands of times but i need help desperately..... i have been getting help from ozbiurdboy on my maps but I HAVE TRIED EVERYHTING!!! to get decals to work on my map when i insert a light eg Lights~5a or wateva it shows in hammer but will not show at all in ns... any ideas??? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> ... also
i have a huge door in my map it is assigned a func_door iyt moves that way i want etc... but... Is tere a way i can get it to hold closed untill say 5 mins into the round? then release it and hold it open??? any hint please most appreciated......
I know youse think im n00b but i think this is the most appropriate place to ask for help

    with the door, you can make an aaatrigger somewhere along marine or alien start so once they spawn you can make it go to a multi and set the mutli to five minutes. im not sure if that way would work as i havent done that before but im not sure on how much the timer goes up on a multi.

    YOu can use a trigger-random to trigger the door, I think.

    any idea of lights when i delete all my point based lights there is no light i checked i added a decal of a light put the code in the lights.rad and its litten but no decal!!

    ok.............. if i go around my map and delete all the point base light entities my map is pitch black.... if i add a decal eg LIGHTS~5A i have the info in my lights rad which i made blah blah..... now when i place teh decal ingame i get light but no decal and i get a **** message in console saying could not find decal : LIGHTS~5a
    help please!!

    I'm not really sure what you are trying to say, but let me see if I can... work it out...

    You are trying to get texture lights to work. You are attempting to add them using the decal function and whne you load up the map, you get that error?


    If that's what you're saying, don't add them as a decal, but rather just as a normal texture on any surface and you'll be fine.

    ouch!

    u can not add lights as decals, and the deacls <b>MUST</b> be in the decals.wad (don't add or remove any of them btw)

    making a door close 5 min to the map, put a funk_door in the void (out side of play area), and set its dealy b4 fire to 240 - this is about 5 min
