    I can play NS perfectly well with a 56k modem from the UK to a US server. That's a ping of about 400-500. 56k modem players will have a ball.

    thx, but ping 400 or 500 is too high no? Did you have lag?

    I wouldn't worry about it. Once it's released there should be servers for most countries very quickly.

    I played it on cable and 56K. the prediction code is so well done, even with a ping of 400, it felt like I was still playing on my cable modem (serious! ). Flayra has done an outstanding job making it playable on 56K

    It's Flayra's plan to let even 36kers play NS without excessive lag.

    cool, other hl makers should ask flayra how he makes it without "excessive lag" <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->. good job, hope the "no lag" makes ns even better <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->. gj all devs/playtesters!

    Yeah... where did powerplay end up? I seroisly wanted that to happen, even though it seemed impossible, maybe they just realized that now.

    Vaporware.

    Sure it sounded like a good idea, but it couldn't be done.

    it's not a new game...even if it was it would work, every game works on a 56k practically...maybe not well but it'll work  <!--emo&:angry:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'><!--endemo-->
