Ah yes, the magical spectator's invisible powers strike again! KPOW! Skullkah pwnzored by magical physcic sensation given off by Spectator!! <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What is this magical spectator power you speak of? Sounds familiar to a glitch that was present in Battlegrounds for quite some time...
Was a fun bug too, tried it out a few times and got some good laughs. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I was referring to when you die he explains that you have 5sec to kill as many aliens as possible, thus your a spectator during the 5sec duration. "elite" spectator skillz is what it takes baby!!11!11!!!1

in case you didn't notice, you don't instantly suicide...... you have approx 5-7 seconds before it kicks in, so you press your kill bind, and you have until you die to kill other things. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

I understood the whole "Kill-as-much-as-you-can-before-you-die" thing, I've done it plenty of times myself. I was just confused by the mention of the spectator thing, and thought perhaps there was an exploit with spec mode as there had been in Battlegrounds.
Devour has 3 benefits.
1-HAs and JPs go down in one hit, useful because HAs take lots of hits while JPs are hard to hit more than once
2-The consumed marine will not respawn for another 30 seconds or so more than normal
3-Any equipment carried by the consumed marine can be carried away by the Onos, instead of dropped on the ground for his friends to pick up.
2 and 3 are both completely neutralized by people typing /kill whenever they get eaten. Kill delays don't solve this entirely, but the longer ones help a lot.
The other problem with instant suiciding is that it defeats the purpose of RFK. A lot of people would just bind /kill to a key so that whenever they thought they might die, they could suicide instead at the touch of a button, to deny the enemy those extra res. This one is much more easily solved, as even a 3 second delay will usually let you kill him before he can suicide.

But, someone may free you and you die, or the onos may not eat you.
Still, never guessed the /kill time was a variable, I thought it was a change for 2.0 <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
