Hi,
I've done some mapping for CS (don't cringe away) and i'm looking at trying my hand at NS maps. I saw <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=45343&hl=hammer+worldcraft' target='_blank'>another thread</a> along the lines of this and also noted the <a href='http://nsworld.ns-central.co.uk/mappingguide/MappingGuide.php' target='_blank'>mapping info</a> linked to from the faq.
My question is, i already know my way around worldcraft ok - is it worth switching to hammer?

Yes, it is...
[to else:] You should be able to make the transition painlessly. The <a href='http://collective.valve-erc.com' target='_blank'>VERC</a> has the 3.5 beta and the 3.4 final releases -- I'd recommend 3.5.
then WarCraft3 comes along and it has a nice little map editor called.. You guessed it, worldcraft. Except they have a copyright on it. So the Valve worldcraft gets renamed Hammer.
or thats how I think the story goes..
no more words about hammer 3.4 ^^ it crashes as often as wc 3.3 ...
