The most likely reason is that their items are not custom made. They're just from those sites that do it for you. i.e, you provide the design, select the generic item (like a teddybear), then it's plastered on the item.
Obviously, a company like that won't have any idea as to what you're talking about if you request a "Gorge plushee plz!".
But I'm just guessing...

Though they should just get a plush gorge first(since he seems to be most popular) and if he sells well, then perhaps make other alien plushes.

This is the WORST business ever.
Don't tell me the target market are NS players.
How do you advertise it?
How much will it cost? Is it overpriced, like 30 US BUCKS?
THe market is VERY dispersed - NS PLAYERS are all over the world.
And how many of 'em are there... a few thousand at most. Do you think anybody else would be interested in some ugly lookin' alien plush toy? No. So the potential sales is very, very low.
Not to mention the fact that some people aren't willing to blow 30 bucks.

Oops forgot hl is an old game... reason that some people play hl is because requirements are low... coz they're too poor to update their pc's... which means they COULDN'T pay for it. I say a maximum of one purchase....
