Steam And Natural Selection

Hi i recently installed Steams 1.6 on my computer and the game asked me to move all of my old HL files into it i said yes since i assumed i could play all of them thru Steam. Now i cannot seem to access or run Natural Selection at all either from Steam or on its own. I think it is because NS uses HL 1.1.1.0 and Steam is 1.1.2.0. Does anyone know what to do to get NS and Steam to work together or will i have to wait for an update patch from the NS Devs?
